Ding Gerrous presented an introduction to the technique of the wet plate collodion process on his large format camera at the Marche des Puces in Paris. He explained the work-flow from cleaning the glass, pouring the collodion layer, silver sensitization, exposure, development, fix, and rinse. It is magic when you see a previously blank glass pane turn into a one of a kind photograph in 10 minutes. Silver nitrate stains permanently marked his hands.
